Qatar Condemns Israeli Extremists' Storming of Al-Aqsa Mosque By Admin - June 01, 2026

Qatar condemns offensive by extremist Israelis against Al-Aqsa mosque and their mass actions under the protection of occupation forces.


Qatar described the incident as:

  • An unambiguous breach of international law

  • An attack on the sentiments of millions of Muslims across the world

  • A violent attempt to change the status of occupied East Jerusalem and its Islamic holy sites

 

Ministry Reaffirms Status of Al-Aqsa Mosque


In a statement, the Foreign Ministry emphasized that the area of the Blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque "is exclusively for Muslim worshipers."


The Ministry further emphasized that:

 

  • International law invalidates any unilateral acts aimed at changing the character and status of Jerusalem and its holy sites.

  • This status quo is to be changed only through attempts that are rendered obsolete.

 

Warning Against Escalation


Qatar cautioned that continued violations of "this kind" and ready-to-hand provocations would aggravate instability in the region.


As per the Ministry, such actions may:

 

  • Feeding cycles of violence and escalation

  • Frustrate openings for peace and stability

  • Increase tensions across the region


The Ministry urged the international community to assume its responsibilities and act as soon as possible to deter those Israeli practices that blatantly violate the provisions of international legitimacy resolutions and put an end to repeated violations against the Palestinian people and their holy places.


Support for the Palestinian Cause


Qatar reiterated it has always supported the Palestinian cause and the steadfastness of Palestinians.


The Ministry also just justified its position on:

 

  • Ending the occupation

  • Defending Palestinians' just rights.

  • You are based on 1967 borders and the establishment of an independent Palestinian State.


Acknowledging East Jerusalem as the capital of Palestine when it is established

Qatar reiterated that a just and lasting solution to the Palestinian cause is indispensable for achieving peace and stability in the Middle East.
